For this image I chose to take a picture of the sky and ground to show polar opposites. The sky and grass are two things you see every day which is why I had the idea of picking them. You can see this diptych in a lot of many different ways. It could be seen as up and down, high and low, or simply the way I saw it while taking these images; sky and ground. I thought about taking these pictures while I was outside during a weekend.

On these images I chose coke and sprite as my subjects to show polar opposites. My family usually drinks either of these two sodas. For me, this two are opposites because my parents are usually the ones drinking coke, and my brother and I drink sprite. For other people it would probably be Coke and Pepsi, but I chose these drinks to be polar opposites because of the way my family sees them. I thought about taking these pictures while I was sitting around in my kitchen. Empty cans happened to be lying around and they seemed like polar opposites to me.

My grandmother gave these to me when I was around 10 years old. She stayed at our house for a while and when I found these she said I could keep them. These statues have meaning to me. They also happen to be two of the many places I would like to travel to. New York and Paris; to visit the Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower. I see these two images as polar opposites because they represent two of the places in the United States that people recognize because of these statues. It wasn't hard at all to pick these images for this diptych assignment because they’re always in sight when you walk into my room.
This diptych project was actually easier than I thought it was going to be. I noticed that almost everything that came to mind, as I looked around, had an opposite. I took images of whatever I saw first around my house and outside.
